MAJOR HAPPENINGS with Hanscom Park Renewal - And We Need YOUR Help!
We've reached a major milestone with the Hanscom Park Renewal (HPR) project! The Omaha Parks Department is now ready to present its preliminary park improvement plans (including conceptual drawings, preliminary cost estimates, impact of the upcoming sewer separation project, and more!) at a public meeting scheduled for Tuesday, October 13th, at 6:30pm at the Hanscom Park Pavilion. Because many of our neighbors aren't connected electronically (e.g., via Nextdoor.com or Facebook), we need YOUR help in getting the word out about this important meeting! Would you please help us with one of the following tasks:
- Sunday, Oct. 4th - Hanscom Park Home Tour (flyers at tour registration table)
The more voices we have at the October 13th public meeting, the more likely the Parks Department is to work towards implementing the park enhancements that we care most about! And neighbors will be able to share their comments, suggestions, and concerns directly with the Parks Department. Come see for yourself how neighbor input has already influenced what the Parks Department has come up with!
- PRINT copies of our flyer announcing this public meeting to give to your neighbors [print English] [print Spanish]
- PICK UP a stack of flyers at one of these upcoming neighborhood events and share them with your neighbors:
