FINANCIAL OVERSIGHT
Transparency and accountability are of the utmost importance of the Hanscom Park Renewal project. The Financial Oversight Team includes board members from all three neighborhoods working on this project (Field Club, Ford Birthsite, and Hanscom Park), plus additional volunteers, who together will oversee all funds raised and spent during the duration of this project.
To ensure complete transparency and accountability, financial policies and procedures will be defined and published on this website, a separate independent fiduciary agent will be secured to manage all funds raised and expended, and periodic financial reports will be published on this website. This team met to get started on June 6. Below are details of their action plan and how you can get involved! Action Plan (✔ = completed)
1. ✔ Define financial policies and procedures.
Contact Sonya for a copy. 2. ✔ Identify potential fiduciary agents and make a plan for initial contact. The Field Club Homeowners League and inCOMMON will serve as the fiduciary agents for HPR (both are official IRS-approved 501c-3 non-profits, and neither will charge us for providing this service). 3. ✔ Open project checking account. inCOMMON has opened a separate checking account to hold all funds for HPR, under the recommendations of inCOMMON's auditors. All funds will be used solely for HPR and only by HPR, not inCOMMON. 4. UNDERWAY >> Stay in contact with fiduciary agents as appropriate. 5. UNDERWAY >> Create and publish periodic financial reports.
